The film has gone into several re-releases for its timeless humour, satire, surrealist-comedy sequences, music video clips with romance story overlayed on top of it all - making it a cultural phenomenon in Punjab since 1989. In the film, the life of Aman Khan, a young boy from Amritsar is shown in a series of surrealist comedy sketches. In the beginning he runs away from home to escape his father's forced marriage-arrangement with a young girl. The young boy manages to run away to Lahore and then onto L.A., where he starts his career as an actor in Bollywood movies. Newly independent Punjab (1947–present), Aman Khan (Ammy Virk) is born into a middle class family in Amritsar. He finds a large amount of problems in getting a job in the fun of his life. His father, an officer in the Indian Army finds a generous donor for his son's education and is willing to pay Rs.1 lakh (about $10,000 at the time) per year for two years. Hence he takes Aman along with him to Amritsar and sends him to study at DAV Public School where he meets Aneela (Asha Dharamsey). cfa1e77820
